"In Westheim the many wide-body, armoured vehicles necessitated a special design of the speed reducing devices. The answer was a division of the carriageway into asphalted and cobbled areas."

"Every day approximately 7,000 vehicles drive on the straight highway through the town of Westheim. Part of the through traffic are heavy and wide-body armoured vehicles. The conversion of the highway through the town included gates, traffic islands, double staggerings in intersections, and cycle tracks."
