This is a presentation that was given at the 2006 Annual TRB Meeting on the reconstruction of Lake Street, an urban arterial in Minneapolis. The planning process for this project engaged stakeholders in creating a framework plan that challenged the traditional roadway design process and instead promoted a street design that would support corridor activities and a community vision.
