The U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Office of Planning has developed a website intended to serve as a resource for advancing the integration of safety in the transportation planning process. The U.S. Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Office of Planning has developed a website intended to serve as a resource for advancing the integration of safety in the transportation planning process. The website is designed to assist transportation planners and safety professionals in meeting the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU) safety planning requirements, including the Strategic Highway Safety Planning process. The website also highlights reports and good practices, and includes links to the TRB Transportation Safety Planning Working Group (TSPWG) website. The new website is a revision of the former FHWA Safety Conscious Planning website and complements the TSPWG website.
